Mode jumps and overspeeding errors in base speed

Hello,

we are running a 48V - 15 kW EM with interior magnets (12 pole pairs, max. mech speed 7000rpm) on our test bench with the Silixcon SL 1060 controller. The controller is connected to a sin/cosine sensor (one wave per el. revolution) and we are able to control it via CAN.
We are currently facing the problem that already at 500 rpm we have issues with the torque control (see the plots attached). The max. torque seems to oszillate at high torque and overspeeding error occures. Also the mode seems to jump sometimes. The corner speed of the EM should be around 1200 rpm.

I could also send you the data measured on our testbench, but it is too big to upload it here.

Do you have any idea why that happens or how to correct it?

Thank you and best regards

Hi

Thank you for the data.

Regaring the problem with transition to mode 0. It looks like that the controller was instructed to go to mode 0. Isn't possible that you instructed controller to go mode 0? Don't you have also log from the CAN bus?

Regarding the lack of torque:

 You can

 - set driver/dac dxc and fwc to value 0.7

 - set driver/vcf to value 2 (prefers Daxis)

Can you log also driver/motor currentqf and currentdf?

Thank you

Hello Jirka,

we have tuned some parameters (driver/dac) and now we do not have these strange oszillations anymore. However, we have mode changes that appear spontaneously. I have a measurement and the actual parameters attached. Do you have any idea, where they could come from?

Furthermore, with the actual config we cannot get the expected performance. Maybe there is something wrong with the chosen parameters. At 800 rpm mechanical speed we would expect to have minimum 100 Nm, but with the parameters chosen, we can only get 70 Nm.

Do you maybe have a suggestion for better parameters?

Thanks and best regards

Hi

Thank you for the data. Can you attach to the graph also Battery voltage and Total limit signal? Or if you have the log in .asc (or similar) you can send it and I will parse the data .

Hello Support Team,

any idea regarding our problem? Do you need further measurements?

Maybe it could help if you could describe some parameters and their behaviour for the machine. For me its unklear what several values in "driver/dac" are used for. Do you have a documentation about that?

Thanks and best regards
